Phone Dialling

If you have an IP telephone system (such as the Snom 3xx series) that is able to recognise URL commands, you can configure Easify to dial your phone for you at the click of a button.

Here there are two boxes where you can construct the URL to dial.

The first is the URL Prefix where you would enter the URL of your telephone. As you can see in this example the IP address of the telephone is 192.168.99.222. We have followed the IP address with the command that is specific to the type of phone being used (in this example a Snom 320). The command for the Snom 320 is 'command.htm?number='. You will notice that we have appended a '9' to the end of the URL Prefix, this is because we need to dial 9 for an outside line and since Easify appends the number to be dialled to the URL Prefix, this ensures that we automatically dial 9 for an outside line.

The URL Suffix is not being used in this example, but could be used to append additional information to the URL to be dialled.

The phone dialler feature can be accessed via the customer details Window. Simply bring up a customers details from the main customers Window, and click the phone button alongside the phone number to be dialled.

When you click the dial button in the above example, Easify will send the command 'http://192.168.99.222/command.htm?number=907875753456' to the telephone at IP address 192.168.99.222.

The command is constructed as <URL Prefix> + Selected Phone Number + <URL Suffix>

Note: Make sure that you configure the dialler settings correctly to ensure that you don't initiate a call from a phone that you don't have physical access to.
