Installing EASU for a New Company
Installing EASU for the first time enables Easify to support eCommerce, scheduled orders, purchases and backups as well as multi-company support.
If you add a new company in Easify, you will need to decide whether you want to enable eCommerce and scheduled orders, purchases and backups for that new company. Each company that you add in Easify will need to have EASU re-installed for that company.
In other words, you will need to re-run EASU setup for each company that you add to Easify, if you want to enable eCommerce and scheduled orders, purchases and backups for that company.
Note: You only need a single EASU license no matter how many companies you install. You do not need a separate EASU license for each company.
To begin, download the latest version of EASU from
http://www.easify.co.uk/downloads
and save it to your computer.
Note: If you are installing EASU on Windows XP Professional or Windows Server 2003 you will be prompted for your Windows installation disks part way through the EASU installation process. So best to make sure that you have your Windows installation disks to hand before you start installation.
We recommend that before you install EASU, you reboot your computer and temporarily disable any anti-virus software that you have running as this may interfere with the installation process.
When you are ready to install EASU, double click the EASU setup program you downloaded. You will get the following window.
Click Next >> to continue.
Please read the software license terms, and if you accept them tick the box and click Next >>.
At the next window click Yes to begin the installation of EASU.
As we have multiple companies installed in Easify, EASU setup will ask you which company you want to install EASU for. In this case our new company is "Billys Valeting Co" so we select that and click OK.
The EASU setup process will begin.
If you are running an older operating system such as Windows SP of Server 2003, you may be prompted for your Windows installation disks.
If so insert your Windows disks and click OK to continue.
The installation process will continue for somewhere between 2 and 30 minutes depending on which version of Windows you are installing on, and which server components need to be installed.
When you get the above screen, your EASU installation is complete.
Once setup has completed, the
Easify Advanced Server Manager
will be displayed.
You can find more details about the Easify Advanced Server Manager here
