Backup from an earlier version..

Long story but deleted easify from user MC account which deleted/corrupted user Easify's installation.

So reinstalled for user easify and then when trying to install backup it says that the backup is for a previous version.

Have tried to uninstall / reinstall again but still getting the same issue..

Any ideas??

Could you email us (support@easify.co.uk) a screenshot of the error message you get when trying to restore and also let us know what version you are currently on and which version the database backup is? We can then have a better idea of what might be happening and can assist you further.

Hi John,

Sorry not attempting to hijack the thread but I have the same issue, luckily it's on my test machine so our live epos isn't broken 

Clean install on Easify v381

Restore copy of database v364

Restore successful

Open Easify and get a Compatibility Error

My current workaround is to use an older version of Easify (V364) | install on another machine | restore v364 database | Upgrade Easify to v381 | backup database | restore database v381 on the pc running Easify v381.

Way too much effort..

I will also email screenshot

When you install a fresh copy of Easify that is of a higher version than the backup you plan to restore after, you will need to run the Upgrader[/url] or the [url=http://easify.co.uk/downloads/#fullinstaller]Full Installer to upgrade your restored database to the newer version you have just installed.

When you launch the installer / upgrader, select Yes when it asks you if you wish to upgrade your database. After the upgrade is complete both your database and your Easify client will be the same version and it will run without getting the compatibility error message.

Ermmmm nop..still getting the same error - reinstalled the db with todays date on it and we have the same error..

?? What have I done wrong????
