sales report /cashbook

Hi

Can you tell me at what point a order is classed as sold? If we look at the cashbook it gives us one figure and then look at the sales figure for the same period it give a lower figure ,we have taken a lot of deposits for orders so shouldn't the figures be the other way around. I.e cashbook with a lower figure than sales to take in to account the deposits

Re: sales report /cashbook

Hi Jowo,

The Sales report is based on Accrual Accounting, orders appear on this report based on the following filters:

 • Date Ordered is between start and end dates.
 • Order Type is either active or complete, so this excludes orders that are quotes and inactive.

This means you can get orders that haven't been paid for but 'bought' appearing in the report. The cashbook is just tallying the 'actual' payments you have received. I shall raise a review item so that this can be explained somewhere maybe on the report in a future update.
